A change?

Hello! Well I think its safe to say this blog has run out of steam! I'm thinking of starting a new blog that's not filled with my own face and stories of shopping! I do do a lot more that that! I want to start a new blog all about my main passion and what I hope to do in the future! This passion is environmentally sustainable fashion. Its an interest I've had for a while and now that I'm in my third year at uni I think its about time I kick it up a notch. I've been going to extremely interesting seminars on the subject and been doing a lot of online research. But would this be a blog anyone would be interested in? The blog would be very personal and about my journey into the world of eco fashion It can be a very confusing area of fashion maybe I can just share my findings as I learn? So what I'm wondering is Would anyone read this type of blog? and Should I start a completely new blog? Or just re-jig the old one? Thanks for any thoughts! My house is so cold

All eyes on the Jungle!

After about 100 years of all the news reporters talking about it every TV advert with it's 'sporty' undertone and the capitals transport system shut down every weekend to be made shinny for the visitors. The London 2012 Olympics have begun!!

The day before the opening ceremony the torch and its entourage ran (more of a jog) past my front door as I was having my mid-afternoon cuppa, Very unexpectedly I got quite exited!
Perhaps it was because my brother has been staying with me for a few day that I've made more of an effort to notice whats been going on (sports aren't really my thing you see..) So when the torch made it's way past I gathered a few of my friends, brother and parents outside and handed them all a rocket lolly each. A Lloyds TSB man came round and gave us all a ribbon to wave and that definitely got me in the spirit! DSC_0042 Brother and Sister

Now the games have well and truly started we celebrated by having some nice cold beer in hyde park which was full of people having a great time! DSC_0038 DSC_0106
Having a paddle in my new skirt I made recently :) DSC_0052 DSC_0133

Has anyone done anything more exiting to celebrate the olympics?

Urban Jungle - nature fix

Tonight I have realised that from this blog you wouldn't guess I live in London! Perhaps subconsciously I'm missing the greenness of Wales, It would seem that I'm drawn to any grass patches or flower bed's I see. Does that mean that at heart I'm a country girl and should return back to Wales? My mother would be very pleased!

Today I got my nature fix in the form of some fruity cider and a wander around Hampstead Heath! This was my first visit and will definitely be going back soon. We decided that the reputation it has (you know what I mean..) was made up by the lovely people that go there In order to keep it beautiful and peaceful, obviously this is where all the friendly polite people in London go!

For my nature wander I wore my new dress. It's from monsoon a bargain I think at only £30 in the sale! Extremely comfortable and beautiful, the perfect climbing trees/ running dramatically through long grass dress :) DSC_0010 DSC_0002 DSC_0023 DSC_0036 DSC_0037 DSC_0051 DSC_0060

Cut it down..

I've had a very busy few weeks with trips, new job and an Elton John concert! Which I will definitely write about soon!

I got my summer project today so I though I may as well start some stuff straight away.. so I sat at my desk and absolutely nothing came to mind! To stop myself getting frustrated and angry with it I printed out pictures of stained glass windows, brick walls and crowds for no real reason and spent the afternoon cutting and sticking. Hopefully something might come of it. 282286_491873894162001_68414754_n 224847_491877830828274_830539001_n

I noticed these two staring out at me from the crowd how creepy...... Scan 17
Here are a couple of snaps of my friends 21st birthday and a lovely diner party I went to :) I find scaners just too clever
Scanners are my favourite bit of technology.

Might start some drawing tonight,

Let's Play!

Put your iphone, macbook and TV remote down and come with me on a play date!

I'm giving you a treat day of not having to read a long post :) But what I will make you read is you must go and take a look at the H! by Henry Holland collection in Debenhams it's fab! Great pieces that will slip in to your play wardrobe with ease! For example this dress at £26 is perfect for twirling.

Now put the computer off and go out and have fun you can be young forever! DSC_0162 DSC_0179v DSC_0201 DSC_0159 DSC_0208 DSC_0174 DSC_0169

You always go back to the old tree house.

Today is not about what were wearing its about us going back to our roots mooching off our parents!
(whilst giving them love and a smile of course).
I love living in London and being independent but every now and then its nice to go home for some good old fashioned fuss and mothering. So this weekend I have come home to Wales for just that! Right now I'm sitting in the garden with a cup of tea and a biscuit wishing that they could always be this free and easy..
DSC_0077
Lets all be honest If you had to write a list of why you miss your parents house free food would be right up there! DSC_0058
Free washing! If you enjoy doing your own washing your a robot! DSC_0043 DSC_0047
No home brand cider in sight DSC_0141
I always wanted a dog growing up but never got one.... But if you do this is the bit where you'd put a picture of you cuddling him on facebook DSC_0006

Now I'm going to finish my tea and get ready for a family BBQ!
Happy Trekking and I hope you all go home soon! X
